We're super excited to welcome Aadarsha to the Film Punks team!

Aadarsha is joining us for the next seven months as a Production Assistant, as part of his Film & Television Production degree at the University of Hertfordshire.

We're big believers in giving the next generation of filmmakers real opportunities to get stuck in, learn from experienced creatives and see what goes on behind the scenes of a busy production company.

Over the coming months, Aadarsha will be getting involved in everything from creative brainstorming and pitching to planning productions and getting out on shoots with the crew.

We're looking forward to sharing our experience, learning a thing or two from him along the way and having him as part of the team!

A Little About Me - Aadarsha

My name is Aadarsha and I’m a Film & Television Production student at the University of Hertfordshire, and I’m really excited to be joining Film Punks for the next seven months as part of my placement as a Production Assistant.

I’m hoping to use this time to understand how ideas develop from a starting point into something that can actually be pitched and produced. I’m particularly looking forward to getting involved with ideation, pitch decks and proposals, as well as seeing how creative directors and the wider team shape ideas for different clients. I want to learn what makes an idea work creatively, but also how you communicate that idea in a way that gets people excited about it.

I have always enjoyed working with people and hearing their stories. Before university, I worked as an interviewer and an ESL instructor, which gave me a lot of experience speaking to people from very different backgrounds and adapting how I communicate. I’m excited to bring those skills into the film industry, and if I get the opportunity, I would love to interview people on set and hear about their roles and experiences.

Most importantly, I’m looking forward to being curious, getting involved and learning from the people around me. By the end of the seven months, I hope to have a much better understanding of the creative process and a clearer idea of where I want to take my own work in the industry.
